By signing up for or using The Bedtime Nook, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
The Bedtime Nook delivers a personalized, AI-generated bedtime story to your inbox, with your child as the main character. Stories are written by AI and pass an automated safety review before sending. We aim for warm, gentle, age-appropriate stories, but AI-generated content is not guaranteed to be perfect; if anything ever feels off, reply and tell us.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and the parent or guardian of the child you're creating stories for. You're responsible for the information you provide and for reading the stories with your child.
3. Subscriptions, billing & cancellation
- Free trial: 7 nights, no credit card.
- Paid plans: Founding members $6.99/month (founding rate available through June 30, then locked while your subscription stays active); public pricing $9.99/month or $69.95/year. Prices may change with notice for future billing periods.
- Renewal: paid plans renew automatically until you cancel; we bill the payment method on file at the start of each new period.
- 30-day money-back guarantee: if you're not happy, email us within 30 days of your first paid charge and we'll refund it in full, on monthly or annual plans.
- Monthly plans: cancel anytime. Cancellation stops the next renewal, and you keep your stories through the end of the current paid month. We don't charge again after you cancel, and we don't pro-rate partial months.
- Annual plans: paid upfront for the year. After the 30-day money-back window, the annual term is non-refundable and runs to the end of the year. You can turn off auto-renewal anytime so it won't renew.
- Pause: pause anytime if life gets busy, and pick back up later.
- How to cancel: email us or use the link in your emails, and we'll take care of it.
4. Acceptable use
When you enter your child's name, companion, or other details, you agree not to submit content that is offensive, hateful, sexual, infringing, or that attempts to manipulate the service. We screen submitted information and may refuse, edit, hold, or remove content, and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Intellectual property
The stories we generate for you are for your personal, family use. We grant you a personal, non-commercial license to read, save, and print your child's stories for your own family. Please don't resell, redistribute, or publish them. We use original characters and worlds only, with no third-party trademarked or copyrighted characters or franchises. If a name you provide happens to match a known character, we treat it only as your child's own name and never as that franchise. The Bedtime Nook name, brand, and software are our property.
6. AI disclosure
Stories are created using AI (Anthropic's Claude) with automated safety and content screening. While we work hard to keep every story warm, safe, and age-appropriate, you should review stories as you would any content for your child.
7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service and the stories are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and because stories are AI-generated they may occasionally contain mistakes. To the fullest extent allowed by law, The Bedtime Nook is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; we'll post changes here and update the effective date, and notify account holders of material changes.
10. Governing law & contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which The Bedtime Nook operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Questions: hello@thebedtimenook.com.
